3.6: We Wills Remember the Alamo

March 6 was the day the Alamo fell and Bob Wills was born (not the same year). Bob Wills, born in 1905, was known as the King of Western Swing and his songs featured not just nifty swinging tunes but crazed little yowls peppered throughout the song. You can hear these weird interjections in “San Antonio Rose,” presented here in honor of the Alamo (1836).
