#26 with a Sullen, Fuzzed-Out Bullet

Guess what album hit the #26 spot on the Swedish charts in 1992? That’s right: Sonic Youth’s Dirty. It also hit #6 on the British charts, and I think they played that one song on the radio, so it was a big one for Sonic Youth. Entertainment Weekly called it the best album of 1992, and you know EW has its finger on the pulse of—well, would only be comfortable with the most accessible of grungy rock noise. Holy cats, all joking aside, it is a sizzling good album. Give a listen to it; it’ll put some pep in your step.
