On this day in 1998, John Glenn returned to space, almost 40 years after he became the American to orbit Earth. (The first person to do this was Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, whose copper plate photogravure I have displayed in my bookcase. It was given to me by a Liberian named Francis. Good times.)
On this day in, you know, today, I return to Roof Pig after being gone another month. It’s good to be back. Like John Glenn, in the last 30 days I also grew frustrated at being kept out of my desired orbit, and also had a stint as a Royal Crown Cola executive and became an Ohio senator. But enough of all that! Time to make busy with the blogging once again. Feels good to be back.
