The Whole30 chill is upon me, and I’m relaxed around food, which is a blessing. I’m doing lots of cycling these days as well, which is contributing to the sense of self-efficacy that is crucial to carrying out a stringent dietary plan like this. See, I read a while back that bicycling strengthens the 3rd chakra. 

The 3rd chakra, located in the solar plexus, relates to willpower, self-esteem, and self-actualization—essentially, the ability to get shit done. Here are 3 ways cycling benefits the 3rd chakra.

  1. It gets you out into the sunshine (which fuels this yellow-loving chakra).
  2. Bicycling challenges you to face your limits and overcome them, strengthening both your legs and your 3rd chakra’s ability to help you endure challenges later.
  3. Bicycling enhances your core muscles, physically strengthening the chakra’s home territory.
